The Sandra Bullocks were formed in 2004 by Mickey Acorn and Jason Connors. In the middle of production of their first album “The Sandra Bullocks are Happy Together” Acorn and Connors used all the budget to buy lottery tickets and their label quickly sued them. The song book remained lost for decades. Then Acorn was approached by a fan who had uncovered a digital copy of the song book. Connors and Acorn went into a lengthy legal battle over the rights. In the end only half of the original songs were allowed to be released with Connors not participating. With the help of Sen City records, Acorn was able to gather a band to showcase the post-guitar-solo orchestra pop. The first record brings us all the great trappings you would expect from Acorn; catchy melodies, proverb-like lyrics, and songs that sound like letters to individual people.
